Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Eventiqa (eventiqabd.com) is the data controller for the information described here: Eventiqa, Modhumita Bhaban, 3rd Floor, 158-160 Motijheel C/A, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

For anything about your data, write to hello@eventiqabd.com with “Privacy” in the subject. A named member of our team handles every privacy request.

2. What we collect

• When you order: your name, mobile number and email, the coupon or voucher you use, and the bKash number and transaction ID you type when you pay. If you pay by card from abroad, Stripe handles your card; we only receive the payment reference, the amount, the currency and your email, never your card number.
• In your invitation: names, family names, dates, times, venues and addresses, your message, contact number, and any extras you add (programme, menu, dress code, gift details, hotels, questions and answers, your story).
• In your wish: the greeting, who it is for and from, your message and letter, and for business wishes your logo and offer.
• Photos you upload: your cover photo, gallery photos and wish photos.
• If you create an account: your name, email, phone and password. The password is held by our sign-in provider in scrambled (hashed) form; we can never read it.
• In the planner: guest names and phone numbers, budget, tasks, vendors and payments you enter.
• From your guests: when a guest replies on your live invitation, their family name, how many are coming, which events, which side, and any message. When someone replies to a wish with “Send a wish back”, their name and message.
• When you write to us: what you put in the contact, help or custom design form.
• Partners (photographers, planners, venues): business name, contact person, phone, email and the bKash number for payouts.
• Technical: our hosting provider keeps short server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and secure, and tells our site which country a visit comes from so we can show prices in your currency. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

3. Photos, children and sensitive information

Photos of faces count as sensitive (biometric) information under the law. We ask for your explicit consent before you order, and you confirm that you have permission from everyone in the photos you add.

A child’s name or photo may only be added by a parent or legal guardian, or with their permission. We never profile, track or advertise to children.

Some designs are for religious occasions (Eid, Puja, Christmas and others). Choosing one is your choice of design; we do not record or use your religion for anything else.

Photos are kept in private storage. They appear only on your own invitation, wish and files, through links that expire after a short time, and are never used in our catalogue or advertising without your separate written permission.

4. Why we use it

• To make your invitation or wish, show you the preview, deliver your files and keep your live link running (needed for the service you order).
• To confirm your payment, send receipts and handle refunds (needed for the service, and for accounting law).
• To show you your guests’ replies and to email you when a guest replies or sends a wish back.
• To answer your messages and give support.
• To keep the site safe: preventing fraud, spam and misuse.
• We do not send marketing messages unless you ask for them, and you can stop them at any time.

5. Your consent

Before you order, you tick a box to agree to this policy and to confirm you may use the names and photos you add. We keep a record of that consent (the date and the version of this policy).

You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to hello@eventiqabd.com. We then stop using the data and delete it, except what the law requires us to keep (see section 8). Withdrawing does not affect what was done before, and once photos are removed your live link may stop showing them.

6. Who can see it

• Anyone you send your live link to can see your invitation or wish. Live links are private addresses: they are not listed anywhere and are blocked from search engines.
• Guest replies are visible only to you (and to the hosts you share the planner with). A guest’s message appears on the wishes wall only if they choose that, and you can hide it.
• Our team sees orders only to make, check and deliver them, and to help you. Every staff action is logged.
• We never sell, rent or trade your information.

We use a small number of trusted providers. Each one only processes data to run Eventiqa for us:

8. Data stored outside Bangladesh

Some of these providers store data outside Bangladesh (mainly in India). The law allows this with your consent and when it is needed for the service you order. We choose providers with strong security, encrypt data in transit and limit what each one receives. If the Government sets further rules on where data must be kept, we will follow them and update this page.

• Every page and file travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
• Photos and files are kept in private storage and shown only through links that expire.
• Passwords are never stored by us in readable form.
• Only team members who need it can open orders, each with their own sign-in, and their actions are logged.
• If a breach ever puts your data at real risk, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires, and explain what we are doing about it.

11. Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Ordinance 2025 you can, at any time:

• Ask what data we hold about you, why, and who it has been shared with, and get a copy in a simple format.
• Ask us to correct or complete anything that is wrong. We confirm the correction within 30 days.
• Withdraw your consent, or object to how we use your data.
• Ask us to delete your data, apart from records the law requires us to keep.
• Complain to us, and if you are not satisfied, to the Data Protection Authority under the Ordinance.

12. How to use your rights

Email hello@eventiqabd.com from the email you ordered with, and include your order number if you have one. We may ask a simple question to confirm it is you. We reply within 30 days, and it is free.

Guests: to remove your reply or message from an invitation, ask the hosts, or write to us with the invitation link.

13. Cookies and browser storage

• A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in to your account or planner.
• Your drafts, saved designs (♡) and a gift voucher you opened, kept only in your own browser so you do not lose your work.
• Nothing for advertising or tracking across other websites. If we ever add measurement tools, we will update this page and ask you first.

14. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.

• Personal Data Protection Ordinance 2025 (Bangladesh).
• Digital Commerce Operation Guidelines 2021 (Ministry of Commerce).
• Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009.
• Cyber Protection Ordinance 2025 and the Information and Communication Technology Act 2006.
• If you live outside Bangladesh, you have the same rights described here, and you may also contact the data protection authority where you live.
